Not Far From The Tree – Strategic Planning

The strategic planning sessions designed and facilitated by the Dept helped this vital non-profit get organized and plan for the future.

The Dept has designed and facilitated several planning sessions with this vital non-profit aimed at connecting people in cities with locally-produced food supplies, such as backyard fruit trees and gardens. Volunteer pickers are recruited and matched with people who have fruit trees and gardens to harvest, and the bounty is shared between pickers, tree owners and community kitchens, shelters and food banks.

Strategic planning sessions included prioritizing organizational resources and staffing, financial sustainability, fundraising and board succession planning.
