From 2016-2019, Jane was the public consultation lead and engagement process co-designer on a transportation plan for the Greater Golden Horseshoe.

Beginning in 2016, The Ontario Ministry of Transportation worked with HDR and Urban Strategies to develop a new long-range multimodal transportation plan for the Greater Golden Horseshoe (GGH). It looks out to 2051 and beyond and ensure that the transportation system of the future supports continued prosperity and quality of life and is responsive to current and future environmental, economic and social needs. The GGH Transportation Plan aims at providing a strategic network that reduces congestion and supports economic growth and job creation, a system that is resilient and can adapt to climate change and other major shifts in the global context.

MTO will work with partner ministries, Metrolinx, municipalities, stakeholders, and First Nations and Métis communities to provide input and expertise into the development of the GGH Transportation Plan. The public will also have input into the plan through the Environmental Registry, e-consultation, community meetings and workshops.
