Through public workshops and roundtables, the Dept helped explore the impact of automation and innovation on the workplace.

The Dept of Words & Deeds provided public engagement services on a research and consultation project led by the Brookfield Institute of Innovation and Entrepreneurship. The study examines the impact of automation and technological innovation on the workplace across sectors and regions. The consultation process included two phases of public workshops and stakeholder roundtables in 12 Ontario municipalities. It was completed in March 2018.

The research project was commissioned and funded by the Ontario Ministries of Economic Development and Growth and Advanced Education, Skills and Development.
